Company History

The company was started in 1980 with the goal of providing customers in northeast Indiana with quality alarm systems and reliable monitoring for a reasonable price. At that time, all alarm systems communicated with the monitoring station through traditional telephone 'land lines'. This made the systems easy to defeat, because the lines could be cut with little effort. Koehlinger Kruse Security Systems realized that in order to provide quality service to his customers, a 'backup' method was needed to make sure that alarms were always sent to the monitoring station. Therefore, an FCC licensed radio system was designed to send redundant alarm events to the monitoring station, regardless of the condition of the telephone service. That system is still in use today, providing many satisfied customers with dependable alarm monitoring.
